Bus are very popular between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne, You takes about 5 hours on the bus to get to Mui Ne. From the center of Phan Thiet City to Mui Ne around 15km. It take around 15 minute. You should remember, the resort ỏ hotel is mainly concentrated in Mui Ne, not in Phan Thiet.

2. BY TRAIN – RAILWAY
Vietnam Railways Corporation have upgraded some carriages with soft chairs, airconditioner, TV, electric outlets, wifi, and especially clean toilets with hand washing sink. it will reduce time is only 4 hours by train instead of 5-6 hours as before.

Train will departure from Sai Gon Train Station at 6:50am(SPT2), 5:30pm(SPT4) and arrive to Phan Thiet at 10:55am, 9:28pm.
On train you can buy bus ticket from Phan Thiet Train station to Mui Ne. Bus fee will be 35 000 VND/ 1 way ticket. (Red color bus).
In Phan Thiet City

Train will departure from Phan Thiet Train station at 6:10am(SPT3), 1:10pm(SPT1) and arrive to Sai Gon Train station at 10:15am, 5:15pm.
Train ticket from 142 000 VND to 181 000 VND/ 1 way ticket. If you don’t want take motorbike you can leave on train with fee from 95 000 VND to 115 000 VND for 1 motorbike. Before you putting motorbike on the train you should drain out the gasoline. when you leave your motorbike on the train, The Staff will drain out gasoline for safety reasons. You should put gasoline in 1 bottle(500 milliliter) and carry. when you arrive Phan Thiet Railway station, after the motorbike was taken off the train, you give in and go to closest petrol stations (about 3 km). And from Phan Thiet railway station to Sai Gon railway station you should do the same.
You should retain tickets until leaving the station. Sometime station staff ask ticket before you get off the train.

Nice info. I’m planning for a trip to Mui ne from HCMC and i`ve read a few bus review and most of them suggested that the only reliable bus operator are Sinhtourist and tam hand only. Is that true?
